Tami to speak at Washington, D.C. event for women and entrepreneurship.
Tami Longaberger will be a key speaker at a special conference to explore the opportunities and challenges for women who seek to become entrepreneurs or own their own businesses. The event, organized by the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C., and to be held March 28 and 29, is entitled “Women and Entrepreneurship: Perspectives from the Middle East and the United States.” Tami will participate in a panel discussion focusing on women who run large and small businesses. She also will deliver the closing remarks. Topics to be discussed range from the financial, personal, social and institutional obstacles women face to the advantages of “growing your own” firm as opposed to working for someone else. Tami expects to touch upon direct selling and the power of women helping women. The event is open to the public. Click here for more information.
