Here at Longaberger, we are one large extended family. Each day, I am touched when I see the generosity of our Home Consultants, employees and customers when it comes to matters close to the heart, such as helping others.

Last spring, as part of our Memorial Day Sale celebration online and at the showrooms, you and your guests generously donated to our Military Cares program. As we talked to many of you to ask your ideas about where to donate the funds collected during this promotion, it became clear that there was one organization that was near and dear to many military families: Fisher House. I am pleased to share, thanks to your generosity, we were able to support Fisher House through Military Cares, and I encourage you to continue to support this worthy organization.

For members of our Armed Forces, retirees, veterans and their families, Fisher House offers shelter and support during a medical crisis. Located on the grounds of every major military medical center, and many VA medical centers, Fisher House facilities provide a comforting “home away from home” while a loved one is receiving care in an unfamiliar environment. No family ever has to pay for their stay at a Fisher House.

In fact, we were proud to learn that many of you personally volunteer at the Fisher House in your community. Providing the blessing of a comfortable home where military families can be united fits perfectly with our values of family, community and gratitude towards those who protect us by serving in the military.
